I recently completed a vegetation management project, which had me identifying noxious weeds, using GIS softwares like ArcGIS and Fieldmaps to track growth and spread of species, manual and mechanical control of weeds, and directing a team of herbicide applicators! In Canada, natural resource companies must get a reclamation permit once they are done using the land. Managing noxious weeds is one component to obtaining a reclamation permit. Here are some photos of the weeds in question.

Yellow toadflax
Scentless chamomile
Leafy spurge
Creeping / Canadian thistle
Orange hawkweed
Perennial sow thistle
